Severance Negotiation
I have represented clients in hundreds of severance matters. For an employee, severance discussions arrive at one of the most disorienting moments in a person's or a company's timeline — and the terms negotiated in that window can shape someone's financial security and next chapter for months to come. For an employer, this purchases finality. Noah leverages his experience representing both employees and employers.
For Individuals
Noah helps employees understand what is actually on the table in a severance offer — and what isn't yet, but could be. That includes reviewing separation agreements, plan documents, negotiating for improved pay, benefits continuation, and explaining the rights being released in plain language before anything is signed. Losing a job is stressful enough without navigating the legal fine print alone; our role is to give clients clarity and confidence at a moment when neither comes easily.
For Employers
Noah advises employers on structuring severance offers, timing, and separation agreements that are fair, legally sound, and consistent — including RIF-related severance, executive departures, and release language that protects the company.
What Clients Say
"Going through a layoff was one of the hardest periods of my career, and Noah walked me through every step of the process. He found that the employer’s own plan documents supported payouts that were not initially offered by my employer. In addition to more than 25% compensation, I finally understood what I was signing and felt like I had someone in my corner." — J.B., Managing Director
“I felt empowered to ask for a fair severance amount after feeling mistreated once I understood the laws and company policy that supported my request.” - Kaylin F., Sr. Manager
"Noah gave us clarity during a stressful transition of a senior executive, and helped us understand the timelines and strategy that goes into making an offer. He negotiated terms we wouldn't have known to ask for." — Jim L. CEO
